It has been a very long few weeks recently. I'm exhausted and things keep malfunctioning around here. First my camera has a lens error for no apparent reason, my door is being janky and needs to be hip-checked in order to actually open and the zipper on my jacket is busted. Things are falling apart along with me, which is fitting. Everybody here is ready to go home and take a couple days off for Thanks Giving. There are only a couple weeks left until finals and the pressure is building. I'm just glad I get Fridays off every week! It's great, honestly.

One thing that helps are the nice people around here. I have a great R.A. and all of the girls around me are super friendly and okay with the fact that I'm a bit more shy than they are. Also, the nice lady at the sandwich and pizza place on campus made a super big sandwich for me, since I didn't get lunch today. It's the little gestures that help you get through the day, you know?

We're starting another portfolio in drawing and we finally have a better creative license, although the style we're copying is cubism. Not my favorite subject/style, but at least realism isn't required (thank god)! I'm super excited about this one, so if anybody has any tips or pointers for me, give a shout out. It'd be greatly appreciated!

I'm homesick, but not as badly as before. My mother recently visited to get away from some drama back home. It's not with my father, but there's been some issues and they fought over who got to come visit me and who had to stay home. It's kind of pathetic, but I feel special, even if it was just because they were trying to avoid a challenging weekend. I can't wait to see my friends, my boyfriend, my family, and go into a complete sugar coma! So excited. Tons of my favorite foods are served around Thanksgiving, so it's going to be a good holiday!

Might update later if I feel like it. I don't know how much new stuff I'll be able to add, seeing that my camera is busted, but I'll try to find a solution. Thanks for reading and/or visiting.
